Mt Isa Metals has assembled a substantial portfolio of exploration tenements across north-west Queensland, focussed on the world-class Mt Isa Mineral Province
The Mt Isa region is recognised as one of the world's premier mineral provinces. Exploration in the region has produced a number of significant mineral discoveries in recent years including iron-oxide copper gold deposits, uranium deposits, silver-lead-zinc deposits and complex base metal rare earth element associated deposits.
The Company's primary interest in the Mt Isa region is the discovery of iron-oxide copper-gold deposits and shear-hosted copper deposits.
The Company's exploration interests in the region are divided into a number of discrete project areas. The project name, tenement area, and target commodities for each project area are summarised below.
